
Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa (Subclass 482)
Temporary Skill Shortage visa is a temporary work visa that allows Australian employers to sponsor overseas worker to fill the nominated positions for two to four years . The visa allows for a renewal after two years and possible permanent residency for certain occupations in MTSOL after three years .The application involves three steps of Standard Business Sponsorship, Business Nomination and Visa Application. The cost of sponsoring also includes a contribution towards the Skilling Australians funds(SAF) levy of $1200 per nomination per year depending on the business turnover.
Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186)
This is an employer sponsored visa allowing the Australian employers to sponsor overseas skilled workers leading t permanent residency. The skilled overseas worker can apply for this visa either living outside Australia or currently living and working in Australia as temporary residents.
There are three streams under which you can meet the skill requirement for the 186 visa (ENS visa):
Temporary Residence Transition Stream
Had applied of held a 457 visa before 18 April 2017 –can apply for this visa if have worked full-time in the nominated occupation in Australia for at least 2 of the 3 years prior to nominating you for this visa..
If your 457/482 visa was granted after 18 April 2017, must have the nominated occupation on the MTSOL and have worked for at least 3 of the 4 years prior to nominating you for the subclass 186 visa.
Direct Entry Stream
To be eligible for this stream, must
- have an occupation that is on MTSOL
- have at least 3 years relevant work experience
- have a positive skills assessment
Labour Agreement Stream
Under this stream the employer party to a labour agreement can sponsor an overseas skilled worker currently working or will work in future.
Employer Nomination Scheme visa application involves two step Employer Nomination and Visa application along with Skilling Australians funds(SAF) levy depending on the business turnover

Training Visa (Subclass 407)
The 407 visa is a short stay visa for people to undertake occupational training or professional development training in Australia. There are three steps in the application process – sponsorship, nomination and the visa application.
Temporary Activity Visa (Subclass 408)
Teporary Activity Visa is a short stay visa allowing people to undertake various short-term activities like participation of overseas participate in events in Australia or some sports training or for religious ceremony and many more . There are two stages in the application process – sponsorship and the visa application.

Student Visa (Subclass 500)
Student Visa allows international students to travel ,study and live in Australia while undertaking a full-time course of study. The student must be enrolled in a full time course of their choice with Authorised and registered Australian education provider .A student can work for 20 hours per week and can be accompanied by its immediate family members such as partner and children who can live ,study and work in Australia .
